- Both boys and girls are eligible to apply, in line with the co-education policy now in place across Sainik Schools.

Class 6: 125 MCQs, 300 marks, 2.5 hours — Mathematics, Language, General Knowledge, Intelligence. Class 9: 150 MCQs, 400 marks, 3 hours — Mathematics, English, Intelligence, General Science, Social Studies. No negative marking at either level.
Who is eligible for Sainik School admission?
Class 6: age 10–12 as on 31 March, currently in Class 5. Class 9: age 13–15 as on 31 March, currently in Class 8 and required to pass it before joining. Both boys and girls can apply.
